Information You Submit
Text entered in a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, goes to the third-party provider that returns the search results. Our own servers do not retain a copy of those search terms. A direct message to us contains only the details the sender chooses to provide, and we use that material to answer the message.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Our hosting services create ordinary logs that may record an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. Aggregate patterns help keep the service working and show which reference pages are useful. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may also use cookies or comparable technology.
How We Use Information
Limited visitor data supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We neither sell a visitor list nor create individual profiles from site use.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to city, county, state, court, library, and third-party search services. Information supplied on a linked service is controlled by that service's privacy policy, not ours. The same applies to sponsored search results provided by an outside company.
Who May Process the Data
Hosting and support providers process technical logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We may disclose available information in response to valid legal process, but we do not otherwise distribute visitor data.
Safeguards and Retention
An encrypted connection protects site traffic. Server logs remain only as long as needed for the purposes stated here. Because the site has no user accounts, it holds no visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under Age 18
This service is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if a minor submitted information so that it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Rights to inspect, correct, or delete personal data vary by jurisdiction. The research did not identify a broad North Carolina consumer-privacy deletion law that removes lawful government deeds, tax rolls, voter fields, or court files. We can check our contact mailbox and available server logs for data connected to a request made through the Contact page. Records held by Rocky Mount, Nash County, Edgecombe County, or North Carolina remain under the control of their custodians and the statutes governing each record.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy will appear here when our practices change. Using the service after a revision means accepting the version then posted.
